About Jamie M. Mathis

Jamie M. Mathis is a native of San Antonio. She earned her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. During law school Jamie clerked at Goldstein, Goldstein, Hilley & Orr where she focused on appellate brief writing. After graduating from Law School, she worked as a briefing attorney for two years at the Court of Criminal Appeals. There she reviewed writs of habeas corpus and petitions for discretionary review, conducted legal research and assisted in writing the Court’s opinions. 
 
After her stint at the Court of Criminal Appeals, Jamie worked for a year at the Bexar County District Attorney’s office where she garnered experience managing cases from in-take through verdict. She then began working as the Staff Attorney for Bexar County Probate Court 1 where she reviewed thousands of Wills and all cases set on the Court’s docket. This includes trust matters, heirships and administrations, guardianships and eminent domain files.
